MTA U16 ECNL Goes Undefeated At PDA

MTA U16 ECNL team goes 2-0-1 at PDA showcase outside New York City during the Memorial Day weekend.

65 college coaches Saturday, 54 college coaches Sunday, and 31 college coaches Monday watched the girls play their three matches against top teams from Philadelphia, San Jose, and Baltimore.

U.S. Soccer staff were represented at all three MTA matches.

The ECNL continues to be the most competitive youth girls league in the world and the top league for exposure to college coaches.

MTA Director Danny Storlien said the ECNL continues to amaze me with the quality competition, the exposure to college coaches, and the first class venues.  It's very clear why the top players and teams play in this league. The competitiveness of the league provides the best opportunity for development.

Next up for the U16's is the ECNL playoffs in Seattle in late June.  Storlien added the national playoffs will provide the ECNL players with even great exposure and opportunity
